David Gerard Meyer, PLA

President

David founded DGM Land Planning Consultants, Inc. in 1994. His 30 plus years of experience in the field of Landscape Architecture includes almost every type of design—from community-level site feasibility and rezoning plans to small-scale site and landscape design.

His specialties are land planning, rezoning, and site feasibility studies. David enjoys serving as a liaison between clients and government entities to facilitate and expedite projects in the most efficient manner. He has a passion for solving problems, pleasing clients, and cultivating the next generation of practitioners with what he has learned through his years of experience.

David received his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia in 1988. In addition to attending UGA, his studies also consisted of attending the Royal Institute of Melbourne, in Melbourne, Australia on a reciprocal scholarship with UGA. David holds a Level II Designer’s license from the Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission and is a Licensed Landscape Architect in the State of Georgia.

David is a native of Marietta, Ga., where he currently lives and enjoys spending time with his wife Beth, and his kids Harrison, Abby, and Claire. He is an active member of Mars Hill Community Church in west Cobb County. He also enjoys sports, exercise, gardening, reading, and traveling.
